Community at Doxa

God designed you for community. Community where you are known and know others. Community that encourages you to be an integrated disciple in every aspect of your life.

At Doxa, we believe this best happens in what we call a community group (we call them CGs for short). A CG is a group of 8-15 people who pour into each other’s lives, serve those in need, and share the good news of Jesus to others.

COMMUNITY GROUPS

WHY DOES DOXA HAVE COMMUNITY GROUPS?
We believe that community group is an essential component of our discipleship. It’s a place where we can be ourselves and experience real life transformation where we point one another to Jesus. It’s where we show up to learn from one another while also adding value by sharing our gifting with others. We aren’t meant to go through life alone! We need community to spur one another on to love and good works (Hebrews 10:24).

WHAT DOES LIFE IN A COMMUNITY GROUP LOOK LIKE?
Community groups typically meet on a weekly basis to share a meal, engage in discussion, and pray together. Weekly meetings look different from group to group and week to week. Some weeks, groups engage in discussion using one of our discussion guides. Other weeks, groups might have a missional focus where they serve together. Groups with children might take a week to focus on discipling the kids in the missional community.

C.O.R.E. GROUPS

WHAT IS A CORE GROUP?
CORE groups are groups of 3-4 men or women, (groups are gender specific) where they confess sin, engage in outreach, read the Bible, and encourage one another. They usually are formed out of community groups, so we recommend starting there.
